Umbrella
Market Place umbrellas are guaranteed for one full year from date of purchase
to be free from defects in original material and workmanship.
This guarantee includes the following: frame, crank, tilt, mechanism,
housing, rib cleats, valance clamps,cap, zipper, stuffing and fabric cover.
This guarantee does
not cover the following: product failure caused by unreasonable use and/or
care, acts of nature (i.e. wind/storm damage). If a defect in original
material or workmanship does occur during the warranty period; Umbrella
Marketplace will repair or replace, at its discretion, the product without
charge. If a problem occurs after the warranty period you may request
a repair or replacement quote upon inspection of the damage. Freight charges
both ways will be your responsibility.
Vinyl and mesh fabrics do not come with any warranties. product failure
caused by unreasonable use and/or care, acts of nature (eg. wind or storm

Fabric Guarantees
Our 100% solution-dyed acrylic standard fabrics have a 3-year, limited
warranty that covers the fabric becoming unserviceable because of loss
of color or strength due to normal exposure conditions, including sunlight,
mildew, rot, and atmospheric chemicals. It does not cover labor and installation
supplied by the dealer. Premium fabrics have a 5-year limited warranty.
We do not guarantee printed acrylics or polyester fabrics against fading,
mildew, or color damage. Dry cleaning is recommended by the manufacturer.
Returns
We are so sure that you will be happy with your Umbrella Market Place
product that we don't expect that there will be a need to return it. However,
sometimes unexpected things do occur, so we want you to be aware of that
if you return any custom-made order, there will be a 30% fee.
Goods Damaged During Shipment
In the unlikely event that your umbrella arrives damaged, please note
the following procedure:
Please open
and inspect each item for concealed damage from shipping. The carrier
only gives us three days to notify them of concealed damage; after three
days the claim is denied! Please understand that we are not responsible
for damages caused by the carrier, and they will not be repaired at our
expense. If you miss the deadlines you will be responsible for the repair/replacement
cost.
Please take the time to inspect the product upon receipt. This is your
responsibility. If there is concealed damage, you must notify our shipping
department immediately so we can get the claim started before
their deadline of three days.

Claims must be filed within three days with our shipping department to
receive a credit from the carrier for goods damaged in shipment!.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
To help substantiate your claim, it would be helpful to take photos of
the damage, either the product or the box. If the package comes in with
obvious damage, you must file a claim with the driver on the spot and
follow the procedure he or she tells you to do.
To prevent costly and time-consuming returns, please take note of maintenance
procedures to keep your umbrella in good condition. Remember, we
only guarantee our umbrellas to be free of defects in materials or workmanship—not
from damage.
Always use your patio or market umbrella with a base of sufficient weight.
Hollow bases should be filled. Secure your umbrella firmly to the base.
When expecting inclement weather, take down your umbrella, not just fold
it down. Even the most secure umbrella can be damaged or cause
damage if the wind is strong enough.
